A Throw-in is taken when the ball leaves the field by crossing one of the sidelines.
It is taken by a player on the opposing team of the last player to make contact with the ball prior to it leaving the field.
When throwing-in, both feet must remain on the ground and the ball must be thrown over the head with both hands. Failure to follow this rule will result in the opposing team being given a throw-in
A goal cannot be scored directly from a throw-in. The ball must be touched by a player from either team before a goal can be scored.
The player taking the throw-in may not touch the ball after the throw-in until another player from either team touches the ball. This is punishable by an indirect free kick being given to the opposing team at the point where the offense occurred.
A player cannot be offsides when receiving the ball from a Throw-in.
